Biography

Mariana Bersten was born in Buenos Aires, 1975, studied photography at the International Center of Photography in New York in 1996 and studied Art at Empire State College in New York, where she lives until 2007. She exhibits her photographs at the International Center of Photography in New York , the Center of the image in Mexico, Praxis Buenos Aires and Praxis Miami, is currently represented by the CVZ Contemporary Art gallery in New York City, Art Globale in London and the Mirador Espacio in Buenos Aires. She was awarded by ASMP (American Society of Media Photographers, APA (Advertising Photographers of America), awarded a scholarship in 2008 by LIPAC Buenos Aires, in 2009 she won the first prize at the Biennial of Bahía Blanca and in 2010 she received the scholarship of the National Fund of the Arts 2011. Exhibits at Paris Art Argentin Dʼune Génération à LʼAutre Maison De laʼ Argentine.

She participated in BAphoto 2014, START ART fair Saachi Gallery London, Tokyo Art Fair 2013, arteBA 2013, Pinta London 2014. She directs the Mirador Photography School and is a professor at the University of Palermo.
